Sarah O. Abou-Zied

Sarah O. Abou-Zied graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She has since completed an internship working on the Edinburgh University’s collection of manuscripts from the Islamicate World and South Asia, where she digitized legacy data on a portion of the collection, cataloged other parts, and conducted further research on a select number of materials from the collection. Her research interests also include the early Islamic period, and she has previously presented her research on Umayyad women and political marriage at the International Medieval Congress.
