Faculty Job Market Collaborative (FJMC)

The Faculty Job Market Collaboration is a multi-institutional collaboration studying the factors involved in the academic faculty job market. In 2020, we published the results of a 2018 to 2019 job market applicant survey in eLife. In 2019-20 we began another, more detailed survey effort to assess the faculty job market, collect additional applicant demographics, and expanded our data collection efforts to include social science researchers.
