I hope this email finds you well! We are Lunar Doula Collective (LDC), a nonprofit organization that was founded by U of M students in 2020.
The Lunar Doula Collective seeks to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to those undergoing miscarriage, stillbirth, or pregnancy termination in Southeast Michigan. A Lunar Doula, or a loss doula or termination doula, provides non-medical support before, during, and after pregnancy loss or termination. All of our doulas will be trained to specifically address and fulfill the emotional, physical, and informational needs of individuals who experience pregnancy loss and termination. The Lunar Doula Collective is the first organization to provide pregnancy loss and abortion doula training in Michigan.
We are NOW accepting applications for our second cohort of reproductive loss doulas. We know this is a challenging time to engage in reproductive justice work, which makes LDC’s work more necessary than ever. We would greatly appreciate it if you could pass along this information to your department’s listserv! The application will close on August 17, 2022 at 11:59pm.
