Jessica is interested in the neural mechanisms and hormonal systems that modulate social behaviors, and how these behaviors affect cognitive functioning. Ultimately, she would like to continue research in a Ph.D. program and discover ways of improving treatment for psychological disorders. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, kayaking, and running!
Tara is a sophomore double majoring in Neuroscience and Sociology. She hopes to go on to medical school after graduating. Her personal interests include baking, watching movies, and traveling.
Vijay is a sophomore at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience. He is currently on the pre-med track and hopes to go to medical school after finishing his undergraduate degree. He is a part of Dr. Iordan’s team working on the Emotion and Working Memory project. Outside of lab, he plays tennis, dances to hip-hop, and hangs out with his friends.
Katie Dvorak is a nursing student at Michigan. Because of nursing, she has found a great interest in geriatrics which lead me to the research project on Effective Memory and Aging.
Tom is a senior from Chicago,IL double majoring in Psychology and Communications and hopes go into marketing and advertising. He will be working on the Value-Directed Memory project. On campus, he is most involved with his fraternity, but in general, Tom enjoys listening to music, dancing, playing video games, and watching sports. He also loves dogs!
Jason is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a B.A. in Psychology. He works as a volunteer in the lab. His personal interests include memory research in topics of Emotional Memory Enhancement, Tip of the Tongue experiences, memory failure, and PTSD. His future goals are to continue his education in a Ph.D. cognitive neuroscience program.
Joon is majoring in psychology with a minor in applied statistics, and hopes to either go to law or medical school after graduation to pursue a dual JD/PhD program or MD/PhD program. Outside of the Reuter-Lorenz Lab, he conducts additional research at the Biomedical Science Research Building in the Neurology Department, works for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center, and is an active member of the College Democrats at the University of Michigan.
Yvonne is a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in neuroscience with a minor in anthropology. She has interests in cognitive neuropsychology and neurological disorders. Outside of academics, she is involved in the A/PIA community on campus, and enjoys dancing and baking.
Ryan is a senior double majoring in BCN and pure mathematics, and minoring in computer science. He is interested in cognitive and computational neuroscience, as well as cognitive neuropsychology. Working under Dr. Iordan in the Cognitive and Affective Neuropsychology lab, he is involved in a project studying the effects of emotion on working memory, as well as using graph theory to analyze changes in neural networks due to cognitive training. Ryan hopes to be accepted into a Ph.D. program to continue relevant research, and possibly become a professor one day!
Katelyn McKenzie is a senior at the University of Michigan. She is currently pursuing a major in Neuroscience and minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. With this, she plans to use her knowledge in research after graduation, hoping to connect how processes in the brain have aided in the survival and evolution of species. She aspires to receive her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
In her free time, Katelyn is the Elderly Outreach Chair for U of M’s service organization, Circle K. She also enjoys being outdoors and artsy projects.
Vikhyathi is a sophomore, majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. She is Pre-Med and hopes to pursue Medical School after completing her undergraduate studies. She is a research assistant on the tDCS project. Aside from her passion for Medicine, she also loves to dance and sing.
Neha Paruchuri Neha is a sophomore majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She intends to attend medical school after graduating. As a research assistant in the Reuter-Lorenz Lab, she is working on a research project with Lilian and Ziyong regarding Value Learning and Memory experiments. In her free time, she loves to bake, hang out with her friends, and watch Netflix (particularly The Office)!
Sneha Rajen Sneha is a sophomore intending to major in Cognitive Science, with a focus on computation, and Computer Science. She has interests in neural networking, artificial intelligence, and human cognition. On campus, she volunteers at assisted living care facilities. Outside of the lab, Sneha enjoys making puzzles and listening to podcasts.
Jordan is a freshman at the University of Michigan. She is currently Pre-Med and hopes to major in Neuroscience. She is a research assistant on the Value Learning project. She also is a part of the yoga club and GMMA at the University of Michigan.
Alex is a research assistant in the PARL lab working with Ziyong and Lilian’s on their Value Learning project. She is premed and majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She loves to dance and play with her cat!
Haley Thomas is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan.
Within the Reuter-Lorenz lab, she will be working on the VDM and tDCS studies. Haley hopes
to one day work in veterinary medicine, specializing in neurology. On campus, she is a member
of Impact dance team, and performs in many shows throughout the year.
Olivia is a Neuroscience major and hopes to someday work in healthcare. On campus, she is a member of the Michigan Marching Band and loves to craft and play music in her free time.
