Research Assistants


Ranya Alkhayyat

Ranya is a Senior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience with a minor in Art & Design. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. In addition to being a research assistant, she also enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

 


Natalie Austin

Natalie is currently a sophomore majoring in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience with an intended minor in biology as well. She hopes to attend graduate school to become a neuropsychologist. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and traveling.

 

 

Alethia Blough

Alethia is a junior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and minoring in Modern Greek. She plans to earn a doctorate degree in occupational therapy after graduation. In her free time, Alethia loves watching Netflix, practicing yoga, and traveling.

 

 

Jason Brenner

Jason is a freshman majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience with an intended minor in Applied Statistics. He is a student in the LSA Honors Program and hopes to attend medical school in the future. He is a research assistant on the Value Learning project. In his free time, he enjoys running and bike-riding.

 

 

Lindsay Brenner

Lindsay is a freshman majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience in the LSA Honors Program. She is currently a research assistant on the Value Learning project. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys singing in her a cappella group, running, and traveling with her family.

 

 

Jaden Mann Bryant

Jaden is a junior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience. She is currently a research assistant for the Affective Working Memory project. After graduation, she plans on attending medical school. She is also a mentor for the Michigan Mentorship Program where she volunteers at Angell Elementary school. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, cooking, and watching scary movies with friends.

 

 

Deepthi Deireddy

Deepthi is a junior majoring in Neuroscience. After graduating, she hopes to take a year off to pursue research or volunteer work before attending medical school. She is currently a research assistant on the tDCS project. Outside of school, she loves to read, watch TV, try new restaurants, and spend time with her friends.

 

 

Vanessa Freedman

Vanessa is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. She plans on attending medical school after graduation. She is a research assistant on the Cognitive Offloading Project. Outside of class and research, Vanessa spends her time volunteering at University of Michigan Hospital, running, and spending time with her friends.

 

Molly Galivan
Molly is a senior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and minoring in Spanish. After graduation, she hopes to attend medical school. Outside of school, Molly spends her time volunteering at the University hospital, and enjoying Ann Arbor with her friends.

 

 

Ziyaneh Ghaderpour Taleghani

Ziyaneh is a junior majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a PhD in neuroscience. She is currently a research assistant on the Cognitive Offloading project. Outside of class, Ziyaneh likes to listen to music, spend time with friends, and paint.

 

 

Wenting Guo

Wenting is currently a senior at the University of Michigan. She is double majoring in psychology and cognitive science. She plans to go to graduate school in cognitive psychology after college. Outside school, she is a member of the Umich Equestrian team and loves riding horses.

 

 

Rachel Hamill

Rachel is a rising senior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and minoring in English. She hopes to attend law school after graduating from the University of Michigan. In her free time, you may find her spending time with her friends, reading, or listening to a true crime podcast.

 

 

Erin Heinlein

Erin is a junior majoring in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience with a minor in biochemistry. After graduation, she plans on working as an emergency medical technician (EMT) before attending medical school. She is currently a research assistant on the tDCS project. Outside of school and research, Erin loves playing cello, volunteering, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

 

Michael Koch

Michael is a senior double majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience. He plans on pursuing a PhD in psychology after graduation. He is a research assistant on the tDCS project. When not in the lab, Michael spends his time working at the University of Michigan daycare, volunteering, and playing IM sports with his friends.

 

 

Elizabeth Lee

Elizabeth is a sophomore majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience. She’s interested in studying mental health and plans on pursuing medical school after college. In addition to her academic interests, she enjoys volunteering at Michigan Medicine, figure skating, and kayaking with friends.

Ariana Pavlopoulos

Ariana is a senior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience with a Minor in Business. After graduation, she plans on applying to medical school in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Ariana also loves spending her time volunteering at Mott’s Children’s Hospital and through Motley Crew at the Down Syndrome Support Team. In her free time, she loves to go to yoga, cook, and spend time with family and friends.

 

 

Selena Yue

Selena in a junior majoring in cognitive science and piano performance. She hopes to attend graduate school for public health in the future. Outside of school, she loves to paint, dance, and spend time with her friends.
