I received my Bachelor of Science in quantitative risk analytics with a minor in actuarial science from Michigan State University. I am most proud of my strong analytical background including coding in multiple languages and high level mathematics, while also being able to provide strong communication skills to those around me. I am most interested in a quantitative trading career with commodities or interest rate derivatives.
I originally wanted to be an actuary for an insurance company, but I wanted a larger emphasis on communication and finance than that field, so I turned to quantitative finance. Outside of school, I love playing chess, golf, and tennis. Watching sports with friends and family is one of my favorite activities. I have related sports to my academic endeavors to understand them better. For example, I relate option trading strategies to offensive schemes in football, showing a plan to beat the market.
