Zarina Kraal received the Graduate Research Award from Division 20 (Adult
Development and Aging) at the 2020 APA Convention. Zarina was recognized for her
paper, “Childhood Adversity Associations with Later-Life Cognition via Education and
Physical Health.” She presented this work in the symposium she chaired, Broad Effects
of Early-Life Risk and Resilience on Later Adult Development.

Abbey Hamlin received the Undergraduate Research Award for her poster, “Which
Aspects of Social Engagement are Most Strongly Associated with Episodic Memory
Performance in Older Adults?” This work was conducted as part of Abbey’s senior
honors thesis, which used data from the Michigan Cognitive Aging Project.
