Alum|NUM (pronounced “aluminum”) stands for Alumni Networking at UMich. The purpose of this graduate student run event is to connect chemistry department alumni to current graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty and to enable graduate students and post docs to learn from the wealth of experiences of the department’s alumni.
Since 2015, Alum|NUM events take place the day before the annual Karle Symposium. This year’s Alum|NUM events will be held Thursday, July 25th, 2024. The festivities will include:
• A networking reception
• Presentation of the graduate student awards
• Various professional development activities
• Academic and industrial career panels, and
• An undergraduate poster session (URAN|UM)
