Curriculum Vitae

Laboratory Manager

My main research interests include the neurobiological mechanisms underlying motivated behaviors and substance abuse disorders.  I hope to improve our clinical understanding of addiction, approach to treatment, and clinical outcomes for stress-related neuropsychiatric disorders. I am also interested in studying dopaminergic neural pathways, CRF-stress systems, and the ways in which these neurotransmitter systems interact in the context of chronic stress and addiction.

Techniques:

Immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, operant conditioning including self-stimulation testing and instrumental sucrose/IV drug training, real-time place preference experiments, taste reactivity, and food intake experiments.
