Julie Biteen was named a Scialog Fellow by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. “Scialog: Molecules Come to Life” is intended to catalyze the development of a community of early career scientists interested in pursuing collaborative, high risk, highly impactful discovery research on untested ideas in physical cell biology. Biteen was selected for the program based on her accomplishments elucidating contested processes in microbiology with super-resolution imaging in live bacteria, and through the Scialog conferences, she intends to build connections and form new collaborations that lead to profound scientific advances.
