2022.12.18 – Ansh received BS in Physics with Honors! It was great having you in the group, Ansh, and good luck in future!
2022.11.29 – We have a new paper in Physical Review A! There we report a precision measurement of the Rydberg nP1/2 states’ hyperfine structure in Rb-85 atoms performed using mm-wave spectroscopy.
2022.11.12 – Our group attended MCAW 2022 in Madison, WI! Ryan gave a talk about novel type of Rydberg spectroscopy using phase-modulated optical lattice, and Alisher, Bineet and Ansh presented posters on other research activities in the group.
2022.10.31 – We have a new paper published in Quantum Science and Technology where we discuss the experimental design and optimal control for Tractor Atom Interferometry! The study is a part of our collaboration with the scientists from ARL and MIT.
2022.10.19 – We have a new paper published in the Special Issue “The Fundamental Role of Precision Atomic-Physics Measurements in Modern Science” of the journal Atoms! There we reported a new measurement of the dynamic polarizability of the 5D3/2 state in Rb-85 atoms (performed on our Deep Optical Lattice setup) as well as some interesting quantum-interference effects observed in the experimental spectra. 2022.08.01 – We have a new paper in Physical Review Applied on characterizing very cool vapor cell with integrated electrodes! The effort was led by our alumni, Lu (’20, currently at Applied Materials, Inc.) and Michael (’21, currently at Georgia Tech Research Institute), check it out!
2022.07.19 – Alisher presented a poster on the recent experiments with ion-electric-field sensing using Rydberg states at ICAP 2022 in Toronto, ON, Canada!
2022.06.23 – One of the group alumni, Dr. Nithiwadee Thaicharoen (currently at Chiang Mai University), is visiting us for the next two months, welcome back!
