Members of MFED’s Educational Outreach Committee (EOC) spent weeks preparing materials to teach 3rd and 4th grade students about basic financial concepts. They prepared a stock activity to teach 4th graders about stocks and what the cycle of investing into a stock looks like. They also created a Game of Life activity to take the 3rd graders through a simulation of what it means to spend, earn, and save money on their wants and needs.
MFED Takes on Elementary Schools!
EOC members had the opportunity to visit 4 different Ann Arbor elementary schools: Pittsfield, Abbott, Burns Park, and Eberwhite Elementary. Everyone had such a blast interacting with all the kids and getting to spread financial literacy! We cannot wait to be back in schools next semester and hopefully expand our educational outreach!
