Application Information

MFED accepts applications twice in an academic year; in the beginning of the fall and winter semesters.

Unfortunately, due to our involvement in public and private schools and our participation in a national competition, we have to limit our membership. As a result, our application process is based on demonstrated effort only, rather than displayed economic, financial or monetary policy knowledge.

Our application is also linked here, but we highly recommend any candidates attend other recruitment events to truly understand MFed’s mission prior to submitting their application. The dates and locations of our recruitment events are as follows:

Winterfest: Thursday 1/11 4-7 pm at Michigan Union 2nd floor

Application Opens: Wednesday 1/10 at 10:00pm 

In-Person Mass Meeting: Tuesday 1/16 7-8 pm at Foster Library (2nd floor of Lorch Hall)

Competition Committee and Education Outreach Committee Applications

You must be a general member, and hence complete general membership recruitment, to apply for any committee within MFED: Competition Team, Research Team or Education Outreach Committee. These applications are sent out to members only.
