Alexa is a senior at the University of Michigan double majoring in Political Science and Italian. She has been an editor for the MJPS since her freshman year in the American Politics section. Alexa does research in Strategy at Ross School of Business and campus activism at Michigan Law School. Upon graduation, Alexa will be working in Global Privacy at American Express in New York before attending law school.

Nimai is a senior at the University of Michigan with a major in Political Science and a minor in Moral and Political Philosophy. He has been an editor in the Political Theory section of MJPS since his freshman year. Nimai is also a copy editor for The Michigan Daily. He hopes to attend law school after graduation.
Addiena Nicolaou
International Politics Junior Editor
Addiena is a junior at the University of Michigan double majoring in Spanish and Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern and North African Studies. Addie is a junior editor on the International Politics section and is interested in the intersection of religion and policy and the role of international organizations in global politics. On campus, Addie is the senior editor for the Michigan Daily’s Arts, Interrupted podcast and a research assistant for Professor Barbara Koremenos. After graduating, Addie hopes to study international law and Middle Eastern studies and pursue a career in NGO advisement.
Anthony Morreale

Anthony is a senior from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, studying political science with a minor in business. He is an editor for the International section and is specifically interested in political economy, trade policy, and immigration. Anthony is also a member of the Enactus Consulting Group, which works to empower local nonprofits and sustainable startups. Upon graduation, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career in immigration law.

Dana Elobaid
American Politics Editor
Dana is a senior at the University of Michigan studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics, with a minor in Quantitative Methods of the Social Sciences. She has been a member of MJPS since the fall of her sophomore year, and is an editor for the American Politics section. Outside of MJPS, Dana works as Editor in Chief for The Michigan Daily and is a communications intern for CHRT, a public health nonprofit. Upon graduation, Dana hopes to work in housing and education policy.
Devanshi Shah
International Politics Junior Editor
Devanshi is a junior majoring in political science and statistics with a minor in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences. She has a strong passion for world politics, particularly using both qualitative and quantitative methods to study conflict and other areas of foreign policy. She is currently an assistant to an incoming faculty member for whom she is building computer programs to scrape audio and video data to create datasets containing information on American cities’ governance. Devanshi has also constructed independent models to measure patterns of state repression, human rights, and the evolution of autocratic regimes. She hopes to attend graduate school to earn a PhD in political science.

Ethan Medal-Katz is a senior from the California Bay Area majoring in Political Science and minoring in Philosophy. He is working as a second-year editor on the Comparative Politics section and is specifically interested in climate and criminal justice. Recently he’s worked with the California state government and Uplift Solutions, a nonprofit that works to reduce recidivism rates in Philadelphia. After graduation, he plans to attend law school.
Jessica Finney
American Politics Junior Editor
Jessica Finney is a freshman from Bloomfield Hills, MI studying Political Science with a minor in Russian Language, Literature, and Culture. This will be her first semester working as a junior editor for the American Politics section. Jessica is also a member of the Alexander Hamilton Society. Upon graduation, she plans to attend law school and serve as a Judge Advocate General.

Jessica is a junior majoring in Business Administration with an intended dual degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. She has been a member of MJPS since her freshman year in the comparative politics section. On campus, Jessica is also a member of Global Investments Committee and Atlas Consulting Group and writes for Michigan Foreign Policy Council. After graduating, Jessica hopes to work in finance and attend law school later on.
Kristina Bland
Comparative Politics Junior Editor
Kristina is a junior at the University of Michigan, where she is majoring in Political Science. Hailing from Lathrup Village, Michigan, Kristina is stepping into her role as an editor for the Comparative Politics section for the first time this fall. Beyond her academic pursuits, Kristina is actively involved in leadership and advocacy. She serves as the correspondence secretary and co-chair of the Committee for Advocate for Social Justice within the Beta Eta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her commitment to academic excellence and pre-law interests is further evidenced by her membership in Phi Delta Phi, a pre-law honor society. Kristina aspires to attend law school upon graduation, aiming for a successful career in the legal field, where she can continue to make a meaningful impact.
Luke Lin

Luke is a sophomore with an intended double major in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and Data Science. He has been a member of MJPS since his freshman year in the Comparative Politics section. On campus, Luke is a student ambassador for the College of Engineering. After graduating, Luke hopes to work in finance. Outside of school, Luke enjoys cooking, sailing, and collecting vinyl records.

Rob is a sophomore intending to major in Public Policy. He has been an editor for the American Politics section since his freshman year. He recently interned in government affairs for the Vandenberg Coalition and currently writes for the Michigan Foreign Policy Council. Rob intends to go to law school.
Samantha Lay

Samantha is currently a freshman hailing from Honolulu, Hawai’i, hoping to major in Public Policy with a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Change. This is her first year with MJPS, and she is looking forward to being an editor on the American Politics team. Samantha is particularly passionate about the fields of education and social policy. She also works as a research assistant at the Ford School, is a member of the Michigan Community Scholars Program, and is on the Policy & Research Committee for Michigan’s Girl Up. Following graduation, Samantha plans to attend law school, then pursue a career in public administration.

Alicia is a senior at the University of Michigan double majoring in Economics and Film, Television and Media Studies. She has been an editor for the MJPS since the start of her UofM experience. Alicia is also a member of the Michigan Pre-Law Society, Cinnamon Cinema, and the Ross Asia Business Conference. She works for the Future of Work Initiative of the Center for Social Solutions affiliated with LSA. After graduating, Alicia plans to attend law school.
