Submissions

We are looking for students interested in submitting pieces for publication in our Fall 2026 edition of the Michigan Journal of Political Science. Papers should encompass one of American Politics, International Politics, Political Theory, or Comparative Politics.

Submission must be argumentative and academic or research-based, ranging from 4,000-18,000 words, exclusive of the abstract and references. All submissions will undergo an intensive peer review process and must follow Chicago Style citations. You must be an undergraduate to submit. Authors are limited to two submissions for consideration. We publish original undergraduate research, and as such, if your piece has already been published or is published while you are waiting to hear back from us, we cannot publish your piece. Additionally, if you submit to our Journal for consideration and are selected for publication, we will ask you to withdraw your piece from consideration at any other publication.

Please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected] if you have any questions about the paper submission process or deadline.
