August 2018

Both Bec/kahs hit the road again this August – Becca Dzombak headed to Iceland to sample young soils on very new volcanic surfaces, while Bekah Stein traveled in the four-corner states, collecting leaves and O-horizon soil samples from Populus tremuloides groves on along an elevation and climate transect.

Bekah Stein also gave an oral presentation at European Paleobotany and Palynology Conference in Dublin, Ireland with other members of the PEPPR lab group. Becca Dzombak and Katy Rico both attended Goldschmidt in Boston, Massachusetts, at the same time to present their work as well!
