Cecilia Howard (they/them) was one of three UM EARTH PhD students selected for a Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship. The Predoctoral Fellowship is for students in the final year of their PhD programs and is awarded competitively among all of the graduate students at UM. The Fellowship will free up Cecilia from other responsibilities to finish up their research on both modern and ancient microbial systems.
