PhD candidate Cecilia Howard (they/them) was named part of the inaugural class of graduate fellows for the Institute for Global Change Biology here at UM. Their proposed research looks at the impacts of a changing climate on microbial communities in Lake Huron using a combination of 16S, GDGT, and stable isotope measurements.
