What We Research
Mental health
Psychosocial factors (i.e., stress, relationships, or lifestyle) shape immune responses. Our research explores how day-to-day experiences and various life contexts can influence the immune system and have implications for overall health.
Immune function
We investigate how immune activity influences mental health, to uncover biological pathways that contribute to psychological well-being or dysfunction. Through our research, we aim to help inform interventions for mental health disorders.
Immune-related disorders
Ultimately, we aim to use psychoneuroimmunology-informed mind-body and psychotherapeutic interventions to not only improve quality of life but also improve treatment outcomes and survival.
