Welcome to the University of Michigan’s (U-M) College of Literature, Science, and the Art’s (LSA) WordPress website request page! Beginning on November 14th, 2013, the partnership between LSA Web Services and LSAIT is launching a 2-month WordPress pilot program. This new offering will allow faculty members at U-M, labs, minor programs, and so on, to develop an easily editable, U-M branded website. WordPress is a very popular open-source software platform that is widely used as content management systems for websites of any size and blogs. LSAIT has installed WordPress Multisite in the U-M network so it’s protected under the firewall. Answers to questions on editing, publishing, and functionality are easily found through Google searches and help forums.
We offer three different site themes to choose between and a handful of plug in options. More information on the themes we offer can be found under Example Themes.
