Veterinary health checks at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Alex, Megan, and Rosie recently returned from Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Uganda, where our group partners with the sanctuary’s veterinarians during the annual veterinary health checks. This work is part of our research examining chimpanzee health, behavior, and aging together with the Kibale Chimpanzee Project, the Ngogo Chimpanzee Project, and the Kibale EcoHealth Project.
