Congratulations to UMAPS Scholar John Hena – The Kennedy Group

Congratulations to UMAPS Scholar John Hena

The Kennedy Lab had the pleasure of hosting John Hena, a visiting scholar from Liberia, for the last six months. John was part of the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAPS) program, where scholars across the academic spectrum have the opportunity to come to the university to expand upon their research at their home universities.

John’s work focused on gaining skills relating to high pressure liquid chromatography in the context of metabolomics. At left, John is pictured with a plaque recognizing his effort over the past few months. At right, John is pictured with Dr. Brian Shay and Brady Anderson, who helped advise John in the lab.

We wish John the best of luck with his career, and are excited to hear of his successes!
