New Research Scientists Join MCAIM’s Intelligent Algorithm Core

Fifth Random Matrix Theory Summer School Brings Together Budding Researchers from Around the World

This summer, the University of Michigan welcomed more than 65 participants from 30 universities for the fifth Random Matrix Theory (RMT) Summer School. The two-week program has been held every other year since 2016, with the exception of 2020, and regularly receives well over 100 applications from around the world. Participants range from undergraduates to graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. To learn more click here.

MCAIM Director Named 2026 Guggenheim Fellow

Daniel Forger, the Robert W. and Lynn H. Browne Professor in Science, Director of MCAIM, and Professor of Mathematics, has been named a 2026 Guggenheim Fellow. He is one of only four new Guggenheim Fellows at UM, and among 223 recipients throughout the U.S. and Canada.
