Call for Abstracts
The Michigan Student Symposium for Interdisciplinary Statistical Sciences (MSSISS) is excited to announce the 2022 MSSISS annual conference taking place on March 10-11 at The League here at the University of Michigan. We are in the process of finalizing keynote speakers, so please keep a look out for an announcement soon!
The MSSISS annual conference welcomes abstract submissions from students on any topic related to statistical sciences, applied statistical sciences, or statistical and survey research methodologies. This year, we are accepting submissions for the following types of presentations: papers for normal and speed presentations, as well as posters. The 2022 conference provides an opportunity to explore research within one’s own area of research and explore other fields of research with an aim to foster interdisciplinary research on a multitude of subjects. We look forward to reviewing all submissions. We invite people to submit their abstracts as posters, presentations, or speed presentations but presentation abstracts have a higher likelihood of acceptance if authors are willing to have their abstract be either a presentation or a poster. Please limit abstracts to 300 words maximum.
Awards will be given for the first, second and third best presentations, posters, and for the best speed presentations.
Registration for 2022 MSSISS is free. Deadline for abstract submission is January 31st; invitations will be sent by February 18th.
Don’t have any research to present yet? Keep an eye out for the upcoming announcement of a “Data Challenge” in collaboration with MDST.
