Bekah Stein goes to China to collect Thuja from endemic regions with Molly Ng, a member of Dr. Selena Smith’s paleobotany lab, where they collaborate with Dr. Tao Su at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) as well as graduate students and professors at South China Botanical Garden (Guangzhou), Kunming Institute of Botany, Shanghai Botanical Garden, and Peking Herbarium and Botanical Garden (Beijing).
Kevin Ortiz leads Earth Camp, a 1-week program to expose Detroit-area high school students to earth and environmental sciences and the outdoors at a young age, in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
