Project Community is an experiential program that is designed to allow students to engage in community-engaged learning experiences through a sociological lens.
Students are able to gain new perspectives on social inequalities through their experiences at a variety of sites, including elementary schools, after school programs, health clinics, correctional facilities, social services agencies, advocacy centers, and other community organizations in Southeast Michigan.
Project Community currently offers two courses:
SOC 225-Project Community: Sociology in Action
SOC 325-Project Community Advanced Practicum
Please view the LSA course guide for enrollment information.
