Please carefully read through all site information and the Project Community FAQs before requesting an override.

SOC 225 – Project Community: Sociology in Action

The sites requiring overrides to enroll in SOC 225 are: Jewish Family Services (Section 011) and Hope Clinic (Section 017). You can request an override as soon as backpacking begins by sending an email to pcinfo@umich.edu. All students will need to complete an application and attend a virtual interview with the Hope Clinic in order to receive an override for Section 017.

SOC 325 – Project Community Advanced Practicum

Note: SOC 325 will not be offered in Fall 2023 and Winter 2024. It will return in Fall 2024.

Please complete the SOC 325 application to receive an override. You can submit your SOC 325 application as soon as backpacking begins, and will generally be given an override within 48 hours.
