Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities

Financial Aid Opportunities

Financial aid is limited and need-based. You can apply for aid using the online application that you use for admission to the MMSS program. Applying for financial aid will not affect your admission decision.

If you wish to be considered for aid, you must upload the first page of your (family) most recent tax return, with social-security numbers removed or blackened out, into your application.

Students who apply for financial aid will be notified of award decisions in early April. We encourage those interested in aid to apply as early as possible.

Scholarship Opportunities

University of Michigan – Center for Educational Outreach

The University of Michigan Center for Educational Outreach offers the Watson A. Young Scholarship application on their website.  The Watson Young Scholarship offers funding to deserving high school students so they can attend a U-M sponsored summer program.

In the spirit of the life of Watson A. Young, M.D., the goal of this program is to promote academic excellence and college aspiration for students with financial need who may face adversity in achieving their academic and career goals.

To apply for this scholarship, applicants and guardians must complete the application and submit it.  The scholarship committee will inform applicants after funding decisions have been made.  More information on the Watson A. Young scholarship can be found here.

The CEO website lists general information about summer academic enrichment programs and specific information is available on each program’s website.  If you have a question about summer programs overall or about the scholarship, contact CEO at 734 647-1402 or umceo@umich.edu
