Conclusion by Rocky Block

What’s in a story? We all have experiences, good and bad, that shape us as people. When we tell others about heartache and joy we are sharing part of ourselves.  We are sharing the experiences that have truly made us alive.  South Africa as a nation has many stories, told through the wonderful people we encountered. South Africa is a story of hope and perseverance.  The story of South Africa changed us as people and we are sharing our transformative stories with you.  We wouldn’t have changed into better people had we not been told the story of South Africa. We hope you have been able to briefly look into our stories and take away something from our stories, from the stories of South Africa.  South Africa has affected us and maybe what affects us somehow affects you.  Desmond Tutu said, “My humanity is caught up, is inextricably bound up in yours”. What’s in a story?  Perhaps in our stories are the crucial elements that bind us together as humans.
