What is Community College?
Community colleges offer two-year associate’s degrees, and many students continue their education at a four-year institution. They also provide career-specific associate’s degrees and certificates. Community colleges are an affordable option because of their low tuition costs and may also have a more flexible admissions process.

Community colleges and four-year universities often develop special transfer agreements between institutions so you can earn a bachelor’s degree after completing two years of community college, followed by two years of university study.
Community college is a great place to explore your interests, gain vocational training and experience, earn a credential, or build your transcript for transferring to a four-year college or university.
