Ahmad Barhoumi

Ahmad is a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics. He received his PhD from Indiana University - Purdue University, Indianapolis. Ahmad's work revolves around the study of orthogonal polynomials, special families of polynomials that appear in approximation theory and random matrix theory, among other places. Ahmad's career in mathematics started with a bunch of friends working on made up calculus problems, and every so often he likes to indulge in working on fun problems with that same group. As for non-mathematical activities, Ahmad likes to climb rocks (and the occasional tree).
