I think our only recourse it to acknowledge that everyone’s grief is their own, immeasurable.
I want to give readers room to be imaginative within the space of my stories. We’re cocreating a story together as writer and reader.
America is the angel that the book is trying to wrestle with, and so, it’s constantly needing to reinvoke and readdress America.
