The Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop in Translation welcomed poet, translator, and publisher Matvei Yankelevich for a special workshop on February 19, 2016.

Yankelevich introduced his scholarly research Daniil Kharms and how it has influenced his own translations of Kharms’ work. As Yankelevich explained, Kharms presents a particularly interest case for translation, as much of his work was “писать в стол” (“writing for the desk drawer”) instead of for publication.
