Narrating Nubia: The Exhibition

Things have been a bit quiet these past few months, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been hard at work! With our Michigan Humanities grant concluding this summer, each of the sub groups are wrapping up their individual research projects — while much of our collective attention has been focused on our upcoming fall exhibition.

That’s right! To celebrate the conclusion of “Narrating Nubia: The Social Lives of Heritage,” we are excited to announce the planned opening of an exhibit at the Duderstadt Gallery, located in the James and Anne Duderstadt Center on the University of Michigan’s North Campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public and runs from October 2 to October 27, 2023.

In the most recent Kelsey Museum Newsletter, team members Bailey Franzoi and Geoff Emberling discuss the multi-media and multi-sensory scope of the exhibition. Read about it here: https://lsa.umich.edu/kelsey/news-events/all-news/search-news/just-published–spring-2023-newsletter.html
