The second 3-month follow-up went well, too. A reduction in the A1c value from 5.3% to 5.0%, even though the metformin dose was lower. Looks like the balanced metabolic crash has affected my BMR (expected), so I’ve leveled off my weight with a maintenance level of 1000-1200 cal/day. Remarkable.
