Sarah Guindre-Parker is a behavioral ecologist whose research integrates across ecology and physiology to understand how animals cope with changing environmental conditions. Sarah was in the Dantzer Lab from 2017-2019 as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow based at the University of Guelph where she was co-supervised by Andrew McAdam. She studied how fluctuations in population density and food abundance have shaped the physiology and fitness of North American red squirrels (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) as a part of the Kluane Red Squirrel Project. A part of this work looked at individual-variation in glucocorticoid responses to changes in population density and was published in Biology Letters. Sarah is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution & Organismal Biology at Kennesaw State University but continues to collaborate with the Dantzer Lab and the Kluane Red Squirrel Project.
