Tuition and Fees

All students at Camp Davis are charged both tuition and fees.

Tuition Rates

Tuition rates for Camp Davis courses are set by the University of Michigan Registrar, and follow the same rate schedule as Spring/Summer term courses on the Ann Arbor campus. Tuition rates are variable, and depend on the School/College the student is enrolled in, whether the student taking the course is lower or upper level, the number of credits being taken in a given term, and in-state versus out-of-state standing. Tuition rates can be found on the Registrar’s website.

Course Fees

Course fees for Camp Davis courses are scaled to the number of credit hours for each course, and are expected to be set at $384 per credit hour for summer 2024 courses. This course fee covers round trip transportation from Ann Arbor to Camp Davis in university vehicles, lodging and meals at Camp Davis and while on class field trips, and camping and park access fees. Students are responsible for their own meals while traveling to and from Camp Davis, but otherwise the course fees should cover all educational and residential expenses associated with attending Camp Davis.

Financial Aid

Financial aid to attend Camp Davis is available from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the College of Literature, Sciences, and the Arts, and the University Financial Aid Office. In addition, there are multiple outside aid sources for summer field geology courses.  Please see our Financial Aid and Scholarships page for information on when and how to apply for these various sources of financial aid.
