George Bornstein

George Bornstein reads from The Colors of Zion:  Blacks, Jews, and Irish from 1845 to 1945 published by Harvard University Press. We talk about the process of looking closely at the connections and relationships among Blacks, Jews, and Irish between the Irish Famine and the end of World War II.  We also talk about the writing life and how empathy and compassion are essential in scholarship.
