Team Member Ana Silva Accepts Tenure-Track Position

Ana Silva recently accepted a tenure-track position in the Department of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Silva, who will begin her new position in July of 2021, was the lead researcher on the sociocultural side of the From Africa to Patagonia Collaboratory project during the academic year 2018-2019.

While on the project, Ana co-led a publication on racial narratives with Paulina Alberto and also first-authored a major publication in the Argentine newspaper Clarín.

Silva shared the following message: “Working with the members of the Collaboratory project team gave me a clear sense of how to build conversations across disciplines and how to draw conclusions about history that are relevant for communities in the present. I am grateful to have shared this rewarding research experience with everyone in the Collaboratory.”
