Vijay Nair, a former Michigan Professor of Stats and IOE, wrote to us recruiting Math PhDs for careers and internships at Wells Fargo. Vijay is now Managing Director and Head of Advanced Technologies for Modeling there.
Vijay will be here Thursday 9/19 from 4-5 in 340 West Hall.
He will give an overview of the some work being done by the large quant community at Wells Fargo in statistical and mathematical modeling, as well as some of the work in AI (machine learning and NLP) going on there. He’ll also share information about an early talent program at Wells Fargo to recruit new PhDs, train them through workshops and rotations, and place them in permanent positions.
