The Chief Ad is the main fiscal and procedural administrator of the Mathematics Department, working closely with the department chair and Associate Chairs, in overseeing all aspects of operations and budgets for the department, not only the graduate program. This is a long term staff position, unlike the Department Chair, which is a faculty position designated in 3 year terms. For this reason, the Chief Ad has the best overview of operations in the department and is the seat of our institutional memory.

The Director of Student Services has many roles, but the one most relevant to grad students is that she works closely with faculty to oversee and track all funding for graduate students. She also supervises all staff in the student services office.

The Graduate Program coordinator keeps all academic records, works closely with the Associate Chair and Doctoral/AIM committee chairs to make sure students are meeting all milestones, meets annually with each student. This is an important person to get to know!
