Saturday, March 7 (the last weekend of Spring Break), UIUC will host the 19th ALGECOM. This is a one day conference in Algebra, Geometry and Combinatorics. Speakers this year are

Jake Levinson (University of Washington)
Claudiu Raicu (Notre Dame)
Jake is a recent UM PhD and Steven Karp a recent post-doc.
Please register by March 1. There is funding for grad students. Even though the deadline is passed, ask anyway. Let me know if I can help you find funding.
