Want to teach CS in the fall?

EECS will be hiring Math PhD students and/or post-docs in the fall to teach one section of EECS 203 (Discrete Math) or EECS 376 (Foundations of Computer Science). These are multi-section courses where most of the administrative burden will not rest on the math student.  They pay 100% GSI rate. If you want to know more about these courses, our own Alex Vargo has done this in the last few years, so you can ask him.  I believe Yuxin Wang and Rishi Sonthalia have also taught for EECS here at UM.

It is a great way to broaden your teaching experience and portfolio, learn valuable skills and meet new people.

Let me know if you are interested, and I will forward your name to the Associate Chair in CSE.

Sixth year students and experienced GSIs will have preference, but everyone is welcome to ask. We expect these opportunities to come up regularly for the foreseeable future.

[There may be EECS 203 in the summer too….stay tuned.]
