Joseph Paulus

Joseph Paulus is the son of John Paulus, an Austrian immigrant who started out as a barber and then ended up opening the first bowling alley in Detroit (on Chene) and grew it to a chain of bowling establishments across metro Detroit. His son Joe was a senior vice president at a Detroit bank. He gave a great interview and also shared with me a photo of Babe Ruth on Chene. Interview conducted in April 2003.
