Linda is the niece of Jennie Levenson and is the family archivist. Jennie Levenson, who owned and operated a store on Chene Street for half a century, has one of the most compelling stories to come out of Chene Street. It touches on the Holocaust, and the trajectory of Jewish families in Detroit. Ms. Ashley was instrumental in sharing all the photos and documents and stories regarding Jennie. Interview conducted in April 2005.
