Rev. Kenneth Davis

He is the associate pastor of New Mount Zion Baptist Church located on Detroit’s west side at Elmhurst and 14th. The church was originally located on Chene and Mack and moved in the early 1960s. Rev. Davis was a congregant at the original location and lived in the Chene neighborhood. The church purchased the lovely old B’nai David (Beth David) synagogue and has restored the building with its original Jewish ornamentation. The interview was conducted in July 2014.
