Rebekah Modrak is an artist and writer who uses critical design to critique consumption and expose false brand narratives around identity and class. She is the creator of the online artworksRethink Shinola (rethinkshinola.com) and Re Made Co. (remadeco.org). Re Made humorously recreates actual company Best Made Co. to parody their appropriation of working class identities for leisurely consumption. Rebekah spent a year interviewing farmers about their work and has written about the connection between food and status.
