Food Literacy for All 2021 was kicked off with guest speakers Ricardo Salvador and Raj Patel. This series is co-led by Andy Jones (School for Public Health), Devita Davison (FoodLab Detroit), and Lilly Fink Shapiro (UM Sustainable Food Systems Initiative). In this session, speakers discussed how they “Envision” the Politics on Our Plate, this year’s theme. This session provides an invigorating, yet grounded glimpse into a future that is not bound by the limitations of our current capitalist, white supremacist, and inefficient food system.
