Raj Patel is an award-winning author, film-maker and academic. His first book was Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System. His second, The Value of Nothing, was a New York Times and international best-seller. Patel’s first film, co-directed with Zak Piper, is the award-winning documentary The Ants & The Grasshopper. This documentary weaves together the most urgent themes of our times: climate change, gender and racial inequality, the gaps between the rich and the poor, and the ideas that groups around the world have generated in order to save the planet.
